As a lifelong student of all things edible/drinkable, cocktailing seemed like a great new hobby, not without its pitfalls. Future meetings notwithstanding, this set is gorgeous, easy to use (except my new lil Boston and I’m getting there), and a real workhorse. Sure, it will be the talk of your next cul de sac get together, but using these beautiful tools to make one perfect Sidecar for yourself is like a holy act of self care. Do I still have a use for my training wheels shaker? Yes. Do I foresee giving it to someone who hasn’t yet caught the Perfect Home Bar Setup bug? I do, I do. Can’t wait for those bitters bottles to come back in stock, I want a slew of them on my bar AND my vanity, so I feel like Marie Antoinette. so glad I found A Bar Above, literally the only positive thing I can say in 2026 about Facebook.

Adding the channel knife to my bar toolbox totally elevated my gin and tonic game! No more tiny-tiny pieces of citrus in my drinks - no way! The channel knife makes it easy to get a good long piece of citrus (I'm sure it works for other things too) to make your drinks look amazing and taste delicious. I'm tossing the other janky tools I had before this - Bar Above is the best!

Nice weight. I just hope I don’t tip them over by accident.I am very clumsy.
Excellent balance in the spoons and I love how the weight at the top does not screw off. They could be slightly longer but I think that is preference and not a necessity.

Nice heavy quality. Only down side is the lines are not marked with their measurements. They also do not correspond to the correct measurements when tested against the Japanese jigger which is a great item.

We agree that having the measurement values engraved next to each line would be helpful. Unfortunately, because of the curved shape of the bell jigger, we're not able to add those markings during the manufacturing process.
That said, the measurement lines themselves should be accurate. If they don't match up with your Japanese jigger when measured, it's possible you received a defective one.

I took the home bartending class not know what to expect., not only do they teach you how to make a cocktail but they also give you the history behind the drink. I will be signing up for all the other classes until I get my mixology certification. They are always reaching out and making sure everything is good. I would recommend this class to everyone that wants to start making great cocktails.
