Channel knife works great. I've used it on lemons, limes and oranges, so far. It makes garnishment really easy.

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone trying to get into bartending whether as a full time profession or just a hobby or temp work. They really keep things simple and easy to understand while still covering a wide range of topics. It is easy to understand and digest regardless of your background. Overall, easy recommendation. I do have a couple recommendations which I outline in the video.
I recently completed the advanced mixology program, as the owner of a distillery (and primary cocktail creator) I wanted to take the advanced course as I know the basics. I found the course very educational and helpful, I immediately implemented the tactic to combat the odor from egg whites, and the use of citric acid for balance. I was hoping for more on garnish techniques' The course is easy to understand and the ability to retake the quizzes was a great way to learn more! My only suggestion would be for the final practical exam to have the first sheet to state "Starting Recipe" as I was confused on what page to begin with. I look forward to officially receiving my certificate and starting another course!

First of all, Britlyn s the greatest to work with. She made wonderful suggestions. I ordered 2 of the 10 PC. Stirred sets. 1 for me and 1 as a gift. They arrived in 5 days, well packaged. Stainless steel has a very nice polished finish. All the tools have a substantial weighted and balance feel. It has really made me step up my cocktail game. I use to just pour ingredients over ice in a rocks glass and called it a cocktail. Lol! I also purchased the channel knife so I'm doing some fancy garnish work now,too. Thanks again. I can confidently say it was a worthwhile experience. The structure of the program balanced both theory and practical application, making it easy to follow while still challenging enough to sharpen my skills.
The course clearly outline techniques and how to use ingredients clearly, which gave me a solid foundation. I especially appreciated the emphasis on classic cocktail families like sours, fizzes, and highballs.
The hands-on portion of the course was the highlight. Getting to practice muddling, shaking, layering, and even experimenting with egg whites and infusions really elevated the learning process. The final practical exam designing and presenting our own cocktail pushed me to be creative while still applying everything we had learned.
Overall, the course was engaging, fun, and very educational. It gave me confidence not only in mixing drinks but also in understanding why certain techniques and ingredients work the way they do.
I love the mat. It is very good quality. Its thick and holds the spills from getting on my counter. The color I picked matches my countertops just as pictured. It is also easy to clean. Highly recommend!

Halfway through and it’s informative. I would say I was expecting more about techniques and drinks than very basic, basics. It’s definitely geared towards someone who has never set foot in a bar setting. It’s a good refresher though!
A Bar Above course on Home Bartending offered a broad, yet simple easy-to-follow explanation for mixing drinks at home. Highly recommend for anyone in the industry starting out or an at-home cook ready to build their drink portfolio. You will add lots of value to your bartending skills with their course!

This was a gift for my daughter. I have bought this set for my cousin as well, and I have my own set, which I absolutely love.
