I am a strictly at-home barkeep, but I was sick of my flimsy Amazon set. After seeing TikTok phenom Thirsty Whale’s utilitarian-yet-pretty bar tools, I did some research into A Bar Above and took the plunge with the complete set in gold.
The set is stacked with everything you need and more, and the color is gorgeous—just the pure gold tone I was hoping for. It took me a couple weeks to dip into, but I’ve been slinging weirdo drinks and traditional sips ever since the weather started warming up.
Each piece is weighty yet still easy to use, and I love the measure markers inside the jigger. 20/10 would recommend to any wannabe like me who wants an upgrade to—at least—feel like a professional with the proper tools.

I bought the barware set for my son's birthday. It came quickly and was well packaged. It's a beautiful set and he's very happy with it.

I absolutely love this set, it's nicely shaped and very sturdy. The Shaker is weighted and is super easy to use, it doesn't stick after you use it and it doesn't leak at all! I used it to make a Whiskey Sour as my first cocktail and it did an amazing job. The Strainers are very nice and fit over the shaker with just enough space to not have to overstretch while actually straining. The barspoon is well, a barspoon but it is also very aesthetically pleasing much like the rest of the kit. I didn't use the muller, but the fact that it's wooden instead of metal or rubber is a huge plus for me. It's also heavy and very sturdy.

The only downside is that my Weighted Shaker rusted after use. However even this isn't that bad, I reached out to their Customer Support and Christina was super helpful! She communicated with me very quickly and even sent me a replacement. Nothing is perfect in this world, but a company that's willing to stand behind its product is always one I'm glad to support and I'll very much keep using their brand in the future.

All in all, if you are looking for a new set this is definitely the strongest contender I've seen. It might not be the cheapest option, but the build and simple beauty of their set is well worth it in my book.
